As Olbermann Grins, Michael Moore Thanks God that Hurricane Gustav Will Hit the USA!
Yeah, it’s a classic moment in the sort of journalism that began with Edward R Murrow, continued with Tom Brokaw, and now is de rigeur at MSNBC. And yeah, you can see the video at the Countdown website, or at Hot Air. But here at Olbermann Watch we like to put these things into OlbyPlanet perspective for you. And that’s the purpose of this special remix:
UPDATE: You know you’ve moved beyond the lunatic fringe–out to where the busses don’t run–when the Daily Kos thinks you’ve gone too far:
- I had to turn Countdown off
- What I don’t get is his incoherent glee. His delivery was tasteless, and there’s no excuse for it.
- You can’t begin to compare a rainstorm to ruin an outdoor speech and the potential disaster of a category 3 (4?) storm hitting an already struggling area. Really poor taste on moore’s part, and Keith should have called him on it.
- There is no excuse for the disgusting things Michael Moore said. And why didn’t Keith rip him a new one? Keith has no problem attacking President Bush on a daily basis. But he’s afraid to stand up to Michael Moore?
